Description
The Fort Lauderdale office of Wolfe & Wyman LLP seeks an insurance defense associate with 3 to 5 years of litigation experience handling premises liability, professional liability, transportation, and construction defect litigation. This role will be an integral part of our Florida litigation team in a hybrid or in-office capacity.

Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse caseload from inception to resolution under the supervision of partners
- Conduct legal research and analysis to inform case strategy.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents with precision and tailored to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Review legal documents, contracts, and agreements related to projects and services.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to ensure timely and accurate case progress.
- Take and defend depositions, including of parties, witnesses, and experts.
- Represent clients in court proceedings including hearings, status conferences, and mediations.
- Assist in trial preparation and participate in trials and arbitrations as needed.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice in Florida; federal court admission preferred.
- 3+ years of relevant litigation experience.
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Experience handling discovery, motion practice, and depositions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively.
- Team player with a strong work ethic and desire for professional growth.
