Lawyer Regulation | Administrator to Attorney Consumer Assistance Program (ACAP) | Tallahassee
Minimum starting salary $52,931.81 with an excellent benefits package including employer paid pension contribution | Employees of The Florida Bar are eligible to apply for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF).
Summary function: Provides administrative support to the ACAP/Intake Program; administers the Lawyer Regulation Practice and Professionalism Enhancement Program (PPEP); and administers the bar's alternative dispute resolution program.
Supervises the following positions: Administrative Support 2 (4)
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Administers the operation of the Attorney/Consumer Assistance Program (ACAP) and Intake including supervision of support personnel; provides administrative support to the departmental director and lead ACAP attorney. Provides technical support to department and creates and maintains ACAP templates in TFB Pro; creates and updates policy manual for program assistants.
Monitors departmental budget, prepares expense reports, travel requests and orders supplies.
Administers court ordered referrals to the Grievance Mediation and Fee Arbitration Program for The Florida Bar, by tracking progress of case and reporting to Headquarters when the condition is met. Monitors all court ordered arbitration and mediation files. Coordinates applications of volunteer arbitrators and mediators for approval by the Standing Committee. Updates forms in TFB Pro as requested by DACAP or Administrative Support II personnel.
Assembles and analyzes weekly and monthly departmental statistics.
Other duties as assigned by Department Director.
Requirements
Required minimum education: Bachelor’s degree (proof required at interview).
Required minimum professional work experience: Three (3) years public relations and administrative experience. Additional related experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis.

- Interpret Florida Bar policies and procedures
- Organize and prioritize work
- Create ADA compliant forms and documents using Adobe
- Communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing
- Gather and analyze statistical information
- Learn The Rules Regulating The Florida Bar and/or civil or criminal legal system
- Supervise and manage personnel
- Use discretion and independent judgment
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Travel (travel may be required)
- Sit for long periods of time, hear and converse over the telephone, and key/work frequently on a computer
- Lift 5 to 10 lbs.
