Busy Maitland insurance defense law firm is looking for a detailed oriented, energetic, responsible, and professional team member for the position of Scheduling Assistant and Legal File Clerk. The position involves scheduling deadlines, hearings, depositions, mediations, client conferences, etc., as well as preparing notices and confirming letters, filing, transcribing dictation, and assisting the lead secretary with miscellaneous projects. The ideal candidate would be highly organized and proficient with oral, writing and computer skills, as all three are utilized daily. This position is Full-Time and needs to be filled as soon as possible.

Job Requirements

Education, training, experience:
• At least 2 years prior experience in scheduling attorney events (deadlines, hearings, depositions, mediations, client conferences, etc.)
• Excellent communication and writing skills a must
• Maintain a complex filing system
• Operate all office equipment
• Types, transcribes, assembles, and disseminates information
• Well organized, systematic approach to work and follow-up
• Computer literacy with Excel, Outlook, and Word
• Multi-task
• Maintain confidentiality at all times
• Work professionally and with a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
